KANU Strengthens Grassroots Engagement and Digitization Efforts in Murang’a

The KANU Murang’a branch today welcomed the Party’s Executive Director, Ms. Mercy Wanyeki, who was accompanied by the National Branch Coordinator, Mr. Andrew Oyile, in a visit aimed at enhancing grassroots engagement and advancing the Party’s digitization agenda.

The delegation was warmly received by the Branch Chairman, Mr. Andrew Wokabi, together with the Treasurer, Ms. Margaret Wambui, the Executive Officer, Ms. Nelly Wangui, and other branch members. Leaders and members alike welcomed the engagement, describing it as an important step in strengthening the Party’s structures and improving coordination at the branch level.

The visit forms part of KANU’s ongoing mission to directly engage with its grassroots networks across the country while streamlining local operations through a modern digitization programme. The initiative seeks to enhance efficiency, improve communication between party organs, and ensure that branches are better equipped to serve members and support the Party’s objectives.

During the engagement, national and branch leaders held discussions on the importance of strong grassroots structures in driving the Party’s growth and sustainability. Emphasis was placed on the role of digitization in modernizing party operations, improving record management, and strengthening communication between the national office and branch leadership.

Branch officials expressed their appreciation for the continued interaction between the Party’s national leadership and grassroots members, noting that such visits create valuable opportunities for collaboration, information sharing, and collective planning.

The Murang’a engagement reflects KANU’s continued commitment to building strong, responsive, and well-coordinated party structures throughout the country. Through regular branch visits and the implementation of digital systems, the Party is working to empower its grassroots networks and enhance operational effectiveness at all levels.

As KANU continues to roll out its modernization and engagement initiatives, visits such as the one to Murang’a underscore the Party’s determination to remain connected to its members, strengthen internal structures, and foster a vibrant and active grassroots movement.
