KANU Strengthens Grassroots Engagement Through Nyeri Branch Visit

The KANU Nyeri Branch today hosted the Party’s Executive Director, Ms. Mercy Wanyeki, who was accompanied by the National Branch Coordinator, Mr. Andrew Oyile, in a visit aimed at advancing the Party’s digitization agenda and enhancing grassroots engagement.

The delegation was warmly received at the KANU Nyeri branch office by the Nyeri Branch Secretary, Mr. Michael Kiruki, the Executive Officer, Mr. Peter Ndung’u, and other branch members. The visit provided an opportunity for leaders at both the national and branch levels to engage on key issues affecting party operations and explore strategies for strengthening organizational structures.

As part of KANU’s ongoing modernization efforts, discussions focused on the implementation of digital systems designed to improve communication, member management, and coordination across the Party’s various branches. The digitization initiative is expected to enhance efficiency, promote transparency, and ensure stronger connectivity between the national office and grassroots structures.

Speaking during the engagement, party officials reiterated the importance of empowering branches as the foundation of KANU’s growth and sustainability. They emphasized that effective grassroots engagement remains central to the Party’s mission of remaining connected to members and communities across the country.

The visit also offered branch members an opportunity to share their experiences, challenges, and recommendations, fostering a collaborative approach to strengthening the Party’s presence and effectiveness at the local level.

These continued engagements underscore KANU’s unwavering commitment to building stronger party structures, deepening grassroots participation, and enhancing coordination throughout its network of branches. Through regular interactions and strategic initiatives such as digitization, the Party continues to position itself for greater efficiency, inclusivity, and responsiveness to the needs of its members.

The Nyeri visit marks another important step in KANU’s broader efforts to modernize its operations while reinforcing its grassroots base, ensuring that branches remain active, connected, and equipped to advance the Party’s objectives.
