KANU Leadership Visits Meru Branch to Advance Digitization Programme

Meru, Kenya – As part of the ongoing KANU branch digitization drive, the party’s Executive Director, Ms. Mercy Wanyeki, accompanied by the Elections Coordinator, Mr. Najel Otieno, today paid a visit to the Meru Branch Office to advance the implementation of the initiative aimed at modernizing branch operations across the country.

The delegation was warmly received by the Meru Branch Chairman, Mr. Joses Kithinji, alongside other branch officials, who expressed their appreciation for the programme and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the digitization agenda.

During the visit, discussions focused on the progress of the branch digitization exercise and its anticipated impact on the party’s administrative and operational functions. Branch officials welcomed the initiative, describing it as a timely intervention that will enhance efficiency, improve record management, and streamline the coordination of branch activities.

The leaders noted that embracing digital systems will strengthen service delivery at the grassroots level while enabling branches to operate more effectively in line with the party’s broader modernization objectives.

Speaking during the engagement, branch officials emphasized the critical role played by branches in the party structure, describing them as the foundation upon which KANU’s growth and organizational strength are built. They observed that the digitization programme will empower branches with modern tools and systems necessary to support membership management, communication, and organizational planning.

The visit forms part of KANU’s wider effort to transform its branch operations through technology and ensure that party structures remain responsive, efficient, and well-equipped to meet the evolving needs of members across the country.

As the digitization drive continues, party leadership remains committed to working closely with branch officials to ensure the successful implementation of the programme and the strengthening of grassroots operations nationwide.
