KANU PARTY ASPIRANT/CANDIDATE CODE OF CONDUCT FORM

subscribe to KANU Code of Conduct and solemnly declare that—
1. I shall observe this code of conduct pursuant to Articles 91, 92 of the
Constitution of the Republic of Kenya, the Political Parties Act and the Party
Constitution.
2. I will at all times abide with this code of conduct so as to promote good
governance, preserve and protect the good image of the party;
3. I pledge my loyalty to KANU PARTY;
4. I shall promote policy alternatives responding to the interests, the concerns and
the needs of the party members;
5. I shall respect, cooperate and uphold the democratic rights of other members in
competition for political power so as to implement their policies;
6. I shall respect the promotion of consensus building in policy decision making on
issues of national importance that affect the party;
7. I shall respect the right of all persons to participate in the political process
including the youth, minorities and marginalized groups;
8. I shall respect and promote gender equity and equality, human rights and
fundamental freedoms;
9. I will at all times be tolerant and inclusive in all my political activities
10. I will at all times respect, uphold and defend the Constitution of the Republic of
Kenya;
11. I shall respect and uphold any other written law relating to elections and political
parties;
12. I shall respect, uphold and defend the party constitutions, party election and
nomination rules, manifesto and any other party rules and regulations developed
and agreed upon in accordance with this code of conduct;
13. I shall respect, uphold and promote human dignity, equity, social justice,
inclusiveness and non-discrimination and protection of the marginalized;
14. I shall respect, uphold and promote human rights and the rule of law;
