ARTICLE 53:
HUMAN RIGHTS AND GENDER.
The party in the spirit and letter of the Constitution of Kenya and this Constitution shall
implement democratic principles covering human rights and gender.
ARTICLE 54:
GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT
All Party members shall, shall in the conduct of the affairs and activities of KANU and pursuant
to the provision of this article, the Kenyan, Constitution, the political parties Act and all other
relevant Laws subscribe and observe this code of conduct as more particularly prescribed under
second schedule of this Constitution
(a) This code of conduct shall regulate the behavior of Party members
Party officials, aspiring candidates, candidates, their supporters and all-Party
Stakeholders, promote good governance, party sobriety, party development and
eradicate political Malpractices
(b) All party members shall, respect and uphold the democratic process in their day-
to-day activities for political power and their implement of all-party policies
(c) All party members shall be respectful to the entire party leadership and shall at all times
act in ways to showcase utmost decorum and promotion of the party well-being.
(d) All party members shall uphold, respect and promote the constitution of the party at
all time.
(e) All party members shall conduct their operations, activities and tasks in a transparent
and accountable manner.
(f) All party members in their operations, activities and tasks shall not accept or use
illicit or illegal money
(g) All party members shall not advocate hatred that constitutes ethnic incitement,
vilification of others or incitement to cause harm, or participate in any activities both
by actions or utterances that may be a threat to national peace and unity.
