Our Vision
The 2010 Constitution created a devolved system of government whose aim was to decentralize
power and increase access to services across the country. In creating a significant departure in the
country's governance and management of public resources, devolution has primarily been a success.
We plan to further strengthen devolution as the best governance model that guarantees the
achievement of its objects and principles at the lowest unit of the devolved system.
Our Plan
We plan to stimulate socio-economic development at the grassroots by providing services to village-
level beneficiaries, thus enabling the ordinary Kenyans to become active participants in the
development process. Devolution has been a Kenyan success story this far. We will continue to build
on that success and accelerate development at the smallest unit of the devolved system.
