Our Commitment to Sports, Culture, and The Arts
AGENDA 4 In the next five years, we will:

Establish a National Sports Fund to provide financial support to our sportsmen and women and
                    promote sports in Kenya.
In collaboration with County Governments, fund, entrench, and ensure all Counties have
cultural museums and culture days that include the diversity of the people for a better
                    understanding of Kenyan culture.
Facilitate tax exemption to private sports sponsors in Kenya to promote various sporting
                    activities in the country.
Increase partnership progressively with the various international sports bodies to promote and
market Kenyan sports to the world.
In collaboration with County Governments, establish sports academies and stadia in all the
counties to identify and nurture local talents and sponsor local sportspersons.
Recreate existing cultural centers to promote local cultures and collaborate with county
governments to initiate construction of cultural centers in the counties where they do not exist.
Formulate a language policy to promote uptake and learning of our local languages as part of
                    cultural practices in Kenya
Fastrack the inception, development and work of Kiswahili Council and Commission to help
preserve, promote, and develop the Kiswahili language in Kenya as the official language of use
and further promote it to other parts of Africa and the rest of the world.
Develop a framework to support the best performing plays in schools, colleges, and cultural
                    festivals.
Empower regulatory bodies to protect artists' copyright, regulate content and continuously
fund and promote creative artists to create job opportunities for our young people in the
                    creative industry.
Encourage Kenya Film Commission to partner with Kenyan missions abroad to purchase and
periodically show appropriate Kenyan films on Kenyan national holidays and establish
scholarship framework for disadvantaged creative artists to pursue courses for self-
                    development.

                                                                                                                     KANU
