continue recruitment and registration of Imara, Bronze, Silver, Gold and platinum
members in all Branches, Sub branches, Wards and Polling Centers
5.7. RIGHTS AND DUTIES OF MEMBERS
5.7.1. It shall be an irrevocable right of every member of Party to:
(i) Participate in the internal electoral processes to elect Party leaders and nominate
candidates for elections in accordance with the regulations in p1ace;
(ii) Contest for any Party position for which they qualify;
(iii)Seek the nomination of the Party to contest for’ any electoral position in the
Republic of Kenya;
(iv) Be informed of the Party position on any matter, and to contribute in the
development of such position;
(v) Receive such information in material form’ as released for general information;
(vi) Inspect such Party books of account as may be adopted by the National Delegates
Conference;
5.7.2. Every Member of Party shall be obligated to:
(i) Demonstrate total allegiance and loyalty to the Constitution of Kenya, the Party, the Party
Constitution and the elected leadership of the Party;
(ii) Promote by publicizing and speaking well of the Party and the ideals for which it stands,
and to engage in any lawful activities for the purpose of propagating and popularizing
Party policies and actions in order to win public support throughout the country;
(iii)Participate in building a strong, united and peaceful Kenya and to foster harmony at every
level among Kenyan communities by demonstrating respect for ethnic, cultural and racial
diversity of the people of Kenya;
5.8. Termination of Membership
(a) Any member may terminate his Party Membership at any time by giving written notice to
the Secretary General through the National Management Committee, subject to the
provisions of the Political Parties Act, 2011 on termination of membership in a political
party;
(b) The membership of such a person shall terminate with effect from the date of receipt of
notice.
(c) By a resolution passed by the National Executive Council and ratified by the National
Governing Council;
