ARTICLE 15: THE NATIONAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

                   15.1. The National Executive Council shall be responsible to the National Governing Council

                   and shall be composed of;

                                 (i)  All the National Officials

                                 (ii) The Leader of Parliamentary Group;

                                 (iii)The Parliamentary Chief-Whip;

                                 (iv) The Policy Advisory Council

                                 (v) Director of Elections

                                 (vi) The  Chairperson,  Secretary  and  Treasurer  of  the  National  Women
                                     Congress;

                                 (vii)      The  Chairperson,  Secretary  and  Treasurer  of  the  National  Youth
                                     Congress;

                                 (viii)     The Chairperson of Persons Living with disabilities caucus (PLWD)

                                 (ix) The Chairperson of the MCAs Caucasus

                                 (x) The National Executive Director as the Ex Officio;

                   15.2. The National Executive Council. shall perform the following functions:

                          (a) Act as the executive, body of the National Governing Council and the National
                              Delegates Conference and shall ensure that all decisions and policies made by

                              these two organs are duly carried out;

                          (b) Supervise the administrative machinery of the Party at all levels and shall take such
                              measures as it deems necessary to enforce decisions and programs of the Party:
                              laid  down  by  the  National  Governing  Council  and  the  National  Delegates

                              Conferences;

                          (c) Work in close liaison with the KANU Parliamentary Group and the County
                              Caucuses, and ensure that Party policies are adhered to in both Houses of

                              Parliament and in the County Assemblies;
                          (d) Report its activities to the National Governing Council;

                          (e) It may suspend any member or ratify any suspension already recommended by the

                              National Disciplinary Committee;
