25.3. The Sub-branch shall be governed by a Working Committee which shall be known as the
Sub-Branch Executive Committee which shall consist of:
(a) Chairperson; Deputy-Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary Treasurer and
deputy Treasurer;
(b) The Chairperson, ‘Secretary, and Treasurer of the Sub-Branch Women Congress;
(c) The Chairperson Secretary, and Treasurer of the Sub-Branch Youth Congress;
(d) KANU Member of National Assembly from the Sub-branch, if any;
(e) KANU Members of the County Assembly from the Sub-Branch, if any;
(f) Coordinator, appointed by the National Executive Director in consultation with
the Sub Branch Executive Committee who shall supervise the recruitment in the
Sub branch and help in the Party organization.
25.3. DUTIES OF SUB-BRANCH OFFICIALS.
a) Duties of the Sub-Branch Executive Committees shall be mutatis mutandis similar to those
of the Branch.
b) The Sub Branch Executive Committee shall meet at least once every three months. 23.4.

The Sub-branch shall hold a general meeting annually not later than 30 April.
c) No person shall qualify to be appointed a Sub branch Official’ unless
d) He/She is a Silver or Bronze Member of the Party;
e) He/She is qualified to hold public office in the Republic of Kenya and has not contravened
the provisions of Chapter 6 of constitution of Kenya 2010, Political Parties Act 2011 and
the party’s constitution.
25.4. The Sub-Branch general meeting shall consist of:
Sub-branch Executive Committee;
Delegates from Each Ward Committee made up as follows:
a) Six, Elected Ward Committee officials being the Chairperson, Deputy-Chairperson,
Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer, Deputy Treasurer;
b) Six Officials of the Ward Women’s Congress;
c) Six officials of the Ward Youth Congress;
d) Two persons with PLWD;
e) Members of Parliament;
f) Members of County Assembly.
