27.4. The Polling Centre Committee shall hold its annual meeting not later than 31 March of
each year, and it shall consist of all KANU members who have paid up their subscriptions
in the area. The agenda of each annual meeting shall include:
(a) Confirmation of previous of the minutes of the last Polling Centre Annual
Meeting;
(b) Presentation and discussion of the Report of the Secretary;
(c) Tabling of the Treasurer’s financial statement and report ‘to the Branch
headquarters as verified by the Branch Executive Officer;
(d) Chairperson’s speech;
(e) Any other business;
27.5. Each Polling Centre Committee shall maintain an up-to-dated list of Members under
the general guidance of the Secretary General through the Branch Executive Officer.
ARTICLE 28:
ROLES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE BRANCH/SUB BRANCH/WARD AND POLLING
CENTRE LEVELS
The functions of the various levels are: -
(a) disseminate the Party Policy documents and policy positions, create;
(b) visibility and publicity for the Party in their respective areas of
jurisdiction;
(c) mobilize and recruit new Party Members and galvanize support for the
Party;
(d) generate consensus on key political, economic and social policies of the
Party;
(e) monitor the needs of the people in their area of jurisdiction and
accordingly advise the relevant Organ of the Party;
(f) monitor performance of National and County Governments and other
public officials and make recommendations thereon;
(g) promote harmony amongst the Party members and other residents in
their area;
(h) set up a Party office complete with a Secretariat where applicable;
