26.5. Ward Meetings
(a) A Ward shall hold its annual meeting not later than l5th April of each year.
(b) The Membership of the Ward general meeting shall be:
Ward Executive Committee;
a) Six elected Polling Centre Committee officials being the Chairperson, Deputy
Chairperson, Secretary, deputy Secretary, Treasurer, deputy Treasurer;
b) Six Officials of ‘the Polling Centre Women’s Congress being the Chairperson, Deputy
chairperson, ‘Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer;
c) Six Officials of the Polling Centre Youth Congress being the Chairperson, Deputy
Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer.
26.6. The agenda of each annual meeting shall include:
(i) Confirmation of previous minutes of the Ward Annual Meeting;
(ii) Presentation and discussion of the Report of the Secretary;
(iii)Tabling of the financial statements and report, Branch headquarters as verified by
the Branch Executive Officer;
(iv) Chairperson’s speech;
(v) Any other business.
ARTICLE 27: POLLING CENTRE COMMITTEE
27.1. Each Ward shall be divided into Party-Units coterminous with the electoral Polling
Centers. A ‘Polling Centre Committee shall be responsible to the Ward Committee.
27.2. Each Polling Centre shall be governed by a Polling Centre, Committee which shall
consist of:
(a) Chairperson, Deputy-Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary. ‘Treasurer, and
Deputy Treasurer;
(b) The Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer of the Women Committee;
(c) The Chairperson, Secretary and Treasurer of the Youth Committee;
24.3. The Polling Centre Committee shall meet at least once in every three months.
27.3. The ‘functions of the Polling Centre Working Committee shall be mutatis mutandis to
those of the Ward.
