25.5. The Sub-branch meeting shall have the following items on its agenda:
(a) Confirmation of minutes of the previous meeting and discussion of matters arising
therefrom;
(b) Presentation and discussion of the Secretary’s report;
(c) Presentation and discussion of the Treasurers Statement of account as verified by
the Branch Executive Officer;
(d) Chairperson’s address;
(e) Any other business with the consent of the Chairperson’s.
25.6.The Sub-branch and any other Party Organ below it shall have no power to suspend or
expel a member of the Party, PROVIDED that the Sub Branch or any other Party Organ
below it may report in writing to the Branch any case involving a member which merits
suspension and the Branch Executive Committee shall expeditiously deliberate on the
matter and take the action it is permitted to take under this Constitution, including
reference of such case to the KANU National Disciplinary Committee provided for under
Article.
ARTICLE 26: WARD COMMITTEE
26.1. Each Sub branch shall be divided into Party-Units coterminous with the Wards from
which there is an election of a representative to the County Assembly.
26.2. Each Ward shall be governed by a Working Committee which shall be known as the
Ward Executive Committee, which shall consist of:
(a) Ward Chairperson, Deputy-Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer,
and Deputy Treasurer;
(b) The Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer of the Sub-Branch Women Congress;
(c) The Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer of the Sub-Branch Youth Congress;
(d) Two representatives of PLWD;
26.3. The Ward Executive Committee shall meet at least once every three months.
26.4. The functions of the Ward Working Committee shall be mutatis mutandis to those of the
Sub-Branch.
