(i) raise financial and other resources for the Party programmes and
activities;
(j) maintain an updated register of members and forward a copy to the
National Secretariat through the established mechanism;
(k) identify, recruit and induct potential aspirants’/Party candidates for all
the elective positions;
(l) undertake disciplinary functions within their area of jurisdiction and
recommend necessary disciplinary measures;
(m) all other things as necessary to promote the goals, aims, purposes
and objects of the Party;
(n) undertake any other functions assigned by the Party’s National Executive
Committee.
ARTICLE 29: KANU YOUTH CONGRESS (KYC)
29.1. There shall be a Congress to be known as KANU Youth Congress (KYC), which shall
consist of Party members between the age of 18 and 35 years.
29.2. There shall be a University and colleges Chapter, to be known as the KANU
Universities & Colleges Chapter KUCC
29.3. All registered KANU members within the age bracket aforementioned, shall be
distinguishable by an Identification item as determined by the Youth Congress Steering
Committee.
29.4. While retaining a measure of self-identity, the KANU Youth Congress (KYC) shall
be an integral part of the Party and shall be subject to the Party’s control and
discipline at Ward, Sub-branch, Branch and National level.
29.5. The KANU Youth Congress (KYC) shall operate at the following forums which shall
be steered by a National Youth Executive Committee comprising a Chairperson,
Deputy Chairperson, Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Treasurer and Deputy Treasurer:
(a) The Polling Centre Youth Congress consisting of all registered youth Members of
KANU in each Polling Centre;
(b) The Ward Youth Congress consisting of the executive committee of each Polling
Centre in the Ward;
